Happy Easter with Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Avery Elle

Handmade Cards
Happy Easter (Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, Avery Elle)

Happy Easter Sunday! I don’t make many Easter cards but I did manage one this year. I hope the recipient as already received this otherwise it will ruin the surprise. Using a combination of products from Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant and Avery Elle, this bright Easter card will hopefully put a smile on my friend’s face when she opens the envelope.

Happy Easter (Lawn Fawn, Mama Elephant, Avery Elle)

I started with stamping out the background using the Fab Flowers stamp set from Lawn Fawn with some of the new ink cubes from the last release. I used Sunflower, Carrot and Celery Stick with the largest rose layering stamp, filling the background in a random pattern. I made several backgrounds that I will share in future cards in exactly the same way – so easy to mass produce!

I stamped out the bunny from the Mama Elephant Page Huggers set a couple of times (one with glasses and one without) along with a handful of carrots and the banner from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders set with some MFT Black Hybrid ink. I coloured them in with my Copic markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I made up the sentiment from the Plan on It: Holidays stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I popped them up on some foam tape, attached them to the background panel and mounted it on a white A2 card base. I finished with a little Spectrum Noir Sparkle and some Glossy Accents for the glasses.

Fairy Happy Birthday with Avery Elle and Altenew

Handmade Cards
Fairy Birthday (Avery Elle & Altenew) Tallie's Corner

I’ve had both the Pixie Dust Fairy Stamp set from Avery Elle and the Hello Sunshine floral set from Altenew for a while now and not had a chance to use them. When I needed a card for my Aunt’s birthday, this was the perfect chance to combine them both. Coloured using a mixture of Copic markers and Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers, this card could be for girls of any age!

Starting with a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock I stamped a whole bunch of the florals in some MFT Black Hybrid Ink, focusing mainly on the bottom and sides of the card. Using two to three markers for each shade I coloured the leaves and flowers in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers. I added in some blues and purples to match the copic markers I had picked out for the fairies. I stamped the sentiment in some Delicata Silver Ink and added some silver dots to the background with a gel pen.

I then stamped two of the fairies, a wand and three of the smaller flowers with some MFT Black Hybrid Ink onto some Neenah Solar White cardstock. I coloured them with Copic markers and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I popped them up with some foam tape and adhered them to the card panel. I adhered the panel to an A2 white cardbase and covered the fairies with some Spectrum Noir sparkle for a little pixie dust.

A fun little birthday card that I’m also entering into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

Mother’s Day with MFT Owls

Handmade Cards
Mother's Day Owls - My Favorite Things

It’s Mother’s Day today here in the UK and this card is for my own mother. She loves owls so this set from My Favorite Things was perfect for her. Coloured with my Zig brush markers with a few additional stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn.

Mother's Day Owls - My Favorite Things

I started out by stamping two of the owls from the MFT I’m Owl Yours set in MFT Black Hybrid Ink onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock. I then coloured these in with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers in shades of brown, green and purple with a little orange for their beaks. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. I die cut a stitched circle die from MFT from some white cardstock and scribbled on some blue and green ink, blending out with my water brush to create a background. I stamped the sentiment in black ink from the Lawn Fawn Mum + Me set and adhered the owls to the background with foam tape for a bit of dimension.

Using an A2 Neenah Desert Storm side folding card base, I used the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops stamp set to add a subtle background with some Versamark ink. I adhered the panel to the card with some double sided tape and added a scattering of sequins from the Neat & Tangled Festive Fall mix.

Of course, I had to finish the inside of the card with one more owl from the set!

Christmas Tags - Neat & Tangled

This year I spent Christmas and New Year’s away from my family over the other side of the world, so I had to make my Christmas cards and tags a lot earlier than usual. I really love the Neat & Tangled Santa’s Wonderland and made up about 20 gift tags for my family and I to attach to our presents. I’m still fighting the jet lag so it is a perfect time to catch up on posting all the cards I missed!

These tags, and the coordinating cards I posted before Christmas were somewhat inspired by the bright and beautiful colourings of Laura Bassen when the stamps were released.
